This week I look at how AI is improving the quality of writing in business reports, but also the way in which it poses a challenge for evaluating a report's content and logic.

Ultimately, decision makers should be more informed, critical, and aware of the potential limitations and biases of AI.

Something that for me, as animal ethicist, was always very clear. Animals have a conscious life.
Consciousness, in its most basic form, probably is something very simple and nothing only "higher animals" have. Probably all vertebrales and non-vertebrates have some form of consciousness.
The typical human opinion on it is much too arrogant and egoistic

❗ So what we need are basic general rights for all conscious life ❗

When I was studying Latin in secondary school, we visited the Gallo-Roman museum in Tongeren, which had a *fantastic* exhibition about Roman dodecahedra. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_do They're beautiful & nobody knows what they were used for? That fascinated me massively! I even made a cardboard replica.

So far, I prefer the spool knitting hypothesis. :BallOfYarn:

But just thought of a new use: decorative candle holder that can safely hold different sizes of candles. 🕯️ Has this been discussed before?

I learned the hard way, that it is essential to always have an endless-stockinette project laying around.

Now I have been sick for over a week, and simply no head/physical-space to do more intricate #knitting

But managed to cast-on a new tee last night, so 40 cm of endless stockinette ready to go :)

In a nice alpaca-cotton blend, soft yellow-white, sport-weight. (Lana Grossa, Cara).

Now I feel less empty-handed, recovering from a bad ear-throat infection that spread to my facial nerve 😢

Good memories of great departed animal companions. These are of Sassy and Amica specifically, but I remember so many more of them: Magnus and Teensy, Mieux and Monkey, Little Boy and Little Girl, Cary and Bebe, the two Crickets, Lady and Mandy, Wilbur and Menolly, F'lar and F'nor

Seen some good stuff on conspiracism lately: Monbiot article in Guardian/observer and episode of podcast origin story on "The Illuminati." Ancient conspiracies that thrived in isolated villages now being brought back to life via the internet.
