Good news from Almost Home Cat Rescue MKE. They're reopening Saturday after prudently closing down three weeks back. I'm planning to go in for open house on Sunday and hang out with the cats and kittens

Ran out of steam halfway through the day, and had to take a nap. Had a meeting about curriculum development, shot two core concept videos, did a guest appearance on a podcast, & took care of some household chores. Then I was just wiped out! Now got a second wind and making dinner

I see that Rishi Sunak has decided that the best way to reduce worker sickness levels isn’t to improve the NHS, adequately fund mental health services, reduce stress, improve safety, or in any way support those who are sick, but rather to simply disbelieve people who say they are ill. You now, I’m starting to get vague hints that Sunak might be a bit of a cock. #ukpolitics

Sunak has made life more difficult, unhealthy, and stressful for everyone. He’s contributed to the conditions that make people ill, and how he’s spreading revolting old prejudices about mental health and that people on benefits are lazy shirkers. He’s a gaslighting prick.

Very saddened to hear about Daniel Dennett's death: he was one of the philosophers who most inspired my approach to the field, and I was lucky to have met him, if only briefly, early on in my career.

In modern times, when science has explained so much, such terror only arises when the laws of nature are broken, and suddenly the world is not as we thought it to be. Hence Lovecraft's tales being full of strange geometry and weird dimensions
